Meet the board.
Waveline Collective’s board is currently composed of three visionary women, all accomplished artists and supporters of the arts themselves, who either live or used to live in Hawaiʻi and are primarily inspired by Hawaiian landscape and culture. Their collective experience ensures that Waveline remains artist-centered, forward-thinking, and committed to amplifying underrepresented voices.
Megumi Kean, the founder of Waveline Collective, took over the role of sales and production manager for her husband’s art almost ten years ago. A trained photographer, Megumi’s skillset helped her husband, Steven Kean, and his woodcut method of relief printmaking grow his roster of commissioned projects. His pieces can be found in Google, Starbucks, Foodland Hawaiʻi, Vans, Olukai, Four Seasons Resort KoOlina, Beet Box Café, Maya’s Tapas and Wine, and more.
Nicole Nicholson is the founder of Bungalow Guchi Tattoo and Boutique, HeartSpace, Raw Sugar Nails, and the curator of The Silos at The Historic Waialua Sugar Mill. Her single-needle, fine-line style of tattooing channels the ancestral art of “Hajichi”, drawing upon her Okinawan roots. A visionary entrepreneur with a deep-rooted passion for community, Nicole’s co-working space is home to entrepreneurs, artists, and wellness practitioners alike.
Sarah Caudle was a pioneer of resin art in Hawaiʻi, creating realistic beach scenes that you can find in popular galleries in both Hawaiʻi and Japan. Her pieces have been featured on CBS’s “NCIS Hawaii” and HGTV’s “Tiny Paradise” and “Renovation Aloha” and are part of Louis Vuitton’s private collection in Waikiki. While living in Honolulu, she launched The Sun Room, shared art space, and The Sun Collective Artist Agency, to support local artists, from 2020 – 2022. Her new venture into oil painting demonstrates her fluency with a diverse range of mediums.
